Patience is a virtue

“Patience is a virtue.” These four words are said all the time. I even find myself using them an annoying amount of times.

But what exactly is patience? I know people who can sit for hours waiting for a deer to walk in front of their scope but cannot handle a room of excited children, and I know people who are just the opposite. In light of Easter and all the goodwill fostered by the holiday (even for those who do not have religious ties, I might add), I will be talking about how I divide the different types of patience.

Apocalyptic Patience

This is the type of patience practiced by first grade teachers and security at overloaded concerts. When you can handle massive quantities of people, whether children or adults, acting irrationally insane, you are a master of annoyance patience. This type of patience features individuals who can put up with excruciating amounts of noise, chaos, and general insanity without snapping and either swearing at a child or quitting your job. All of you bouncers, teachers, day care providers, and fair employees are awesome. You are the people who can prevail while your immediate world is literally exploding.

Idiocractic Patience

This type of patience can be seen in the people who deal with the most ignorant and frustrating people out there, especially online. Some people either will not or cannot admit when they are wrong about something. The individuals with idiocratic patience are the once who gently and maturely attempt to educate these people, despite their incapabilities. When someone is telling a ‘fact’ that is incredibly flawed, and you attempt to show them the truth without getting angry or calling them stupid, that takes a level of patience many do not have. A certain amount of human decency and respect must color the kind of person who can avoid being upset while correcting another human. People with this type of patience are blessings on this earth, and should be treated as such.

Assassin Patience

This is the patience of trained killers. It is possessed by snipers, spies, hunters, assassins, and the lifeguards. Okay, so lifeguards are not actually trained killers; they’re trained savers. But the patience is the same. You see, this type of patience is characterized by doing nothing for a long period of time because you are waiting for something to happen. That something could be someone flailing desperately in the water or the level of access you have been waiting years to access finally appears and you can end that one evil person’s reign of terror. Either way, you’re doing a lot of seemingly meaningless nothings to achieve that one big something. If you have this patience, you could be a totally kick-butt assassin and should feel very special.

Note: I realize that there are a dozen of examples that do not result in death, but I am feeling particularly gory while typing this. I’m not actually totally evil, I promise.

Zen Patience

This is the kind of patience seen by those who believe that good things come with time. These people meditate instead of freaking out because their paycheck is one day late. These people are content that everything they need in life will be accessible to them when they need it. These are the people who don’t try to rush through the less-pleasurable aspects of their existence because they can wait for the better times to come while appreciating what they have in the present. I find these people the most admirable because they are so comfortable with their humanity. They are cool as a cucumber floating on wild oceans of life, and I think that is a really important trait to have.

On a lower level, this is also the patience of those children who wait patiently for Easter morning when the Easter Bunny will bring them brightly colored eggs, candy, and other goodies to find and consume. Please note that these are not the children who sit there complaining constantly.

I like to think I have a healthy balance of all four of these patiences, but I am sure that is not true.

What kind of patience do you feel is most applicable to your personality? Do you simple have no patience at all? Let me know in the comments!

Exciting movies for you pleasure

Summer Blockbusters

10. Now You See Me 2

I really enjoyed the first when it came out a few years ago so I can’t wait to see what this film has in store for moviegoers.

9. The Conjuring 2

Horrors films can be pretty crap these days, but The Conjuring was brilliantly scary and the trailer for this film had me jumping.

8. The Boss

I’m a bit skeptical about this as it was written and directed by Melissa McCarthy and her husband and the last time they worked together it was on Tammy and that wasn’t great at all. That said I reckon it will do well in the box office.

7. Bad Neighbours 2

The first one was an instant classic so I am hoping this will bring something new to the table. Plus its always great to see some more topless Zac Efron action.

6. The BFG

I love Roald Dahl (I have to he’s from Cardiff like myself) so it was exciting to find out that Spielberg was creating a live action film of this.

5. Finding Dory

Though I’m not a huge fan of sequels from Pixar I am hoping this will be just as charming as Finding Nemo.

4. Ghostbusters

I am a huge fan of the original so I am really excited about this. To be honest I don’t know why people are hating on it so much (Fanboys getting annoyed its an all female cast), Paul Feig is a talented writer and director (Spy, The Heat and Bridesmaids) so I have no doubt in my mind he will do an awesome job with this film.

3. The Secret Life of Pets

I really liked the idea for this film when the teaser came out last year and there are not a lot of original films being released these days (my list consist of 6 sequels/reboots). I reckon it will be a hit not just for children but for adults too.

2. Suicide Squad

I was skeptical about this film when it was announced but when I saw the trailer I thought this film is going to be amazing. Although the reviews for Batman vs Superman weren’t that great, David Ayer is a brilliant filmmaker and Zack Snyder is not involved So it might be the lift the DC Universe needs.

1. X-Men: Apocalypse

If X-Men wasn’t on this list, Suicide Squad would probably #1, but as I am a huge X-Men fan, there was no competition. I love that they are finally linking the timeline together with the original trilogy and we get to see the young Storm, Cyclops and Jean. In addition Oscar Isaac looks pretty bad ass as Apocalypse so this a sure win for Bryan Singer.

WASHINGTON — A White House official said on
Thursday that it would be “catastrophic” to
adopt a proposal by Donald J. Trump, the
Republican front-runner, that Japan and South
Korea manufacture their own nuclear bombs to
deter North Korea.
Benjamin J. Rhodes, the deputy national security
adviser and one of President Obama’s closest
aides, said, “Frankly, it would be catastrophic
were the United States to shift its position and
indicate that we somehow support the
proliferation of nuclear weapon to additional
countries.”
Mr. Rhodes, speaking at the Nuclear Security
Summit here convened by Mr. Obama, said Mr.
Trump’s proposal was “not particularly
relevant to the very serious discussions we’re
having here.” But he was withering in his
response to the idea, which he said would
undercut decades of nonproliferation policy.
“The entire premise of American foreign policy
as it relates to nuclear weapons for the last 70
years has been focused on preventing the
proliferation of nuclear weapons,” Mr. Rhodes
said. “That has been the position of bipartisan
administrations, of everybody who has
occupied the Oval Office.”
Mr. Trump first broached the issue of a nuclear-
armed Japan and South Korea in an interview
with The New York Times last week, putting it
in the context of his argument that the United
States should no longer bear the full burden of
defending its East Asian allies. He defended his
comments in a town-hall-style meeting in
Milwaukee on Tuesday that was televised by
CNN.
“You have so many countries already — China,
Pakistan, you have so many countries, Russia —
you have so many countries right now that
have them,” Mr. Trump told the host, Anderson
Cooper. “Now, wouldn’t you rather, in a certain
sense, have Japan have nuclear weapons when
North Korea has nuclear weapons?”
Earlier this week, a top Japanese government
official reiterated Japan’s policy that it would
not possess nuclear weapons.

Tragedy in india

A bridge under construction collapsed in the
eastern Indian city of Kolkata Thursday, killing
at least 20 people and injuring dozens more.
Javed Ahmed Khan, disaster management
minister for the state of West Bengal, said the
death toll is expected to rise due to the large
number of injured people.
Workers were pouring concrete when a 100-
meter section of the bridge suddenly collapsed
onto the crowded street below.
Search and rescue operations were under way
to reach people believed to be trapped under
the concrete slabs. Teams from India’s National
Disaster Response Force ((NDRF)) and military
personnel were brought in to aid in the rescue
effort. Prior to their arrival, residents and
firefighters had been trying to free those
trapped, using bare hands.
"As soon as we learned about the bridge
collapsing, we immediately contacted the state
administration and spoke to the state relief
commissioner. Immediately we dispatched two
rescue teams to the spot. Fortunately both the
teams were in the Rajarhat locality of Kolkata
and they reached the accident spot and started
their operations," NDRF Director General O.P.
Singh said.
According to Singh, rescuers are now using
sniffer dogs, concrete cutters and special
cameras to find people trapped in the rubble.
Officials said more than 70 injured people had
been admitted to two hospitals in Kolkata.
Locals and rescue workers clear the rubbles of
a partially collapsed overpass in Kolkata,
March 31, 2016.
Witnesses said a number people and vehicles,
including two buses carrying more than 100
passengers and several taxis, were under the
span when it came down. Construction
workers, who were on a tight schedule to
complete the bridge, set up camps near the site
where they would sleep and cook.
